The Out Back Garden Center, Inc. opened in 1997 as Jana's Greenhouse. The business relocated after sustaining severe storm damage during the summer of 1998. The new location is "out back" of Miller's IGA , just north of Clay City. The business continues to expand and now has over 5,000 Square feet of greenhouse space. The most recent addition was a retail sales building. 

 The Out Back now offers a wide variety of garden hard goods including bulk seed fertilizer, mulch, etc. The variety of  plants offered in the spring is excellent, including vegetables, annuals, perennials , shrubs and trees. Fall is also a busy season at the Out Back. Bulbs of all kinds, chrysanthemums, fall vegetables and more can be found just around the corner from the grocery store.

The Out Back Garden Center also offers custom planting . If you have a variety of vegetable or flower that you can't  find anywhere else, call to see if arrangements can be made. Hanging baskets and planters can also be designed just for you. Special ordering is also an option with products like fountains , grass seed and other  garden related items.
